WAFFLES

Brightness from mint, freshness from lemon juice, spicy tanginess from syrup, tropical exoticness of fruit will take your taste buds on an adventure into a new dimension.

Fall break called for special treat. And what can be more rewarding than a nice waffle breakfast fit for kings!

Ingredients:
5 eggs
½  cup sugar
Pinch of salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup milk
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
½ tsp baking powder

Directions:
With an electric mixer beat eggs and sugar until bubbly. Add salt and mix well. Add flour, slowly mixing with a spatula. Add milk and butter and stir to combine.

Let the batter rest for 5 minutes, covered with plastic foil.

Bake the waffles in the waffle iron according to the instruction for your iron.

HOME MADE SYRUP
Ingredients:
heavy syrup from 1 29 oz. can of Cling Peaches in a Heavy Syrup ≈ 1 ½ cup
½ cup orange juice
½ cup light brown sugar
1 star anise
1 cinnamon stick
5 cloves

Directions:
Put all ingredients together into a big enough pot and bring to boil. Reduce the heat to medium and let the mixture boil for 45 minutes until reduced to 1 cup.

FRUIT SALAD
Ingredients:
peaches from 1 29 oz can of Cling Peaches in a Heavy Syrup
2 bananas
2 apples
4 rings of pineaplle
1 tbsp finely chopped fresh mint
1 tsp lemon juice

Directions:
Dice the fruit, add lemon juice and mint. Stir to combine. Cover with plastic foil and set aside.

Serve waffles covered with fuit salad and heavily drizzled with syrup. Enjoy!
