CHOCO PUDDING

My daughter was in charge of dessert the other day and she decided to make us chocolate pudding. It turned out very delicious!

CHOCO PUDDING (serves 4)
Ingredients:
4 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
1 tbsp unsalted butter
4 cups milk
2 tbsp sugar
8 tbsp corn starch

Directions:
First, melt the chocolate with the butter over a double broiler. Set aside.

Into a big enough pot, put 3 ½ cups of milk and sugar. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat. Turn the heat down to low and add the melted chocolate, stir to combine.

In a small bowl, mix corn starch with ½ cup of milk. Stir to combine and add the corn starch slurry into the boiling milk. Stir constantly to prevent clumping. Hand whisk comes very handy!

When the pudding thickens and it starts to bubble, pour it into 4 serving glass bowls.

Chill, garnish, serve, and enjoy!

  4. Yes, she did use candied orange peel. The chocolate and orange flavors go so well together!
I always cook pudding from scratch, this give me the power to control what ingredients goes into it.
    Thank you for comments all!

  5. How to know is chocolate is semi sweet? Is it black chocolate?

  6. Semi sweet chocolate is also known dark (black)chocolate. I usually don't use more than 60% cocoa content chocolate for my sweets unless the recipe asks for such. Hope this helps Medeja :)
